Opening in the Fall of 2014, the 200,000 square foot Dineen Hall is a state-of-the-art facility that will change the way students attend law school. Built specifically for the demands of legal education, the new Dineen Hall will feature an open architecture design, collaborative learning environment, superior technology and ideal location for a positive student experience. At the forefront of Syracuse University’s new west campus expansion, Dineen Hall will provide a cohesive teaching, research and learning space that will advance legal education at Syracuse to a new level.

Throughout our history, the College of Law’s commitment has been to deliver the best legal education possible while graduating students with the practical knowledge required to be effective, successful attorneys.

Vision

Times change and legal education has changed as well. A collaborative, connected experience and innovation of space and technology is key to delivering students what they need to become successful attorneys. In addition, the SU College of Law faculty has grown by about one-third in recent years. Our increase in faculty talent further enhanced the personal attention and mentoring that students receive but also helped drive the need for new, improved facilities. Enter Dineen Hall – a law school for the future – a next generation facility for our next generation of legal professionals. Dineen Hall will bring students, staff, and faculty together in a modern, adaptable, collaborative space that places Syracuse University College of Law at the forefront of law school facilities nationally.

Since our May 2012 groundbreaking, we continue to make excellent progress toward our anticipated fall 2014 opening. Note to prospective 2013 students: that means you’ll enjoy two full years in Dineen Hall! In April 2010, Robert Dineen L’66 gave Dean Hannah Arterian the news that his family was presenting a $15 million naming gift to the College of Law for a new, innovative, state-of-the-art law school. While the generosity of the Dineen family has helped to make this all possible, there have been so many others that have helped along the way.
